Hands down, Akama's is one of my favorite stories in the Warcraft canon. I'm also one of those people who likes to think the woman and girl that feature fairly prominently in the Black Temple trailer might have been Akama's family. This is because I like MAXIMUM TRAGEDY, clearly.
I felt like this had to be in Gustav Klimt's style, I guess because it's a somber subject. Took some artistic liberties on Akama's proportions, in part because the original version has him un-Broken but I preferred his toothy face. Also: find all the hidden details/symbols. Woo. Akama/draenei/etc. are intellectual property of Blizzard. |
